I first met
Dr. Catherine Kurosu on the island of Guam in 1998-2000 and worked alongside
her there and again on the island of Oahu in Hawaii in the care of mothers
during pregnancy and childbirth. She is originally from Canada, graduated from
the Toronto University of Medicine in 1990 and became a Diplomate of the
American Board of Holistic Medicine.
Since then
Dr. Kurosu has expanded her knowledge of medicine to the science of Chinese
Medicine and Acupuncture, completing a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine
and graduating from the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture in Honolulu in 2015, bringing
with her all of her immense knowledge and practice of Western Medicine. This
has given her a very unique perspective on health and healing as she mentions
on her website and she has seen the value of how these two different approaches
complement each other to bring about optimum results for the patient.
